Amy Sheheen was born in Columbus, Ohio. She began drawing and painting early in life. At the age of five, she began to interpret the world around her through art. She moved to South Carolina in high school and graduated from Walhalla High School. Sheheen graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications. During her younger years and in college, she worked with sculpture, wood cutting, acrylics, oils, and every type of printed media.

Amy has worked professionally in printing, sales, and design and has continued off and on commercially in this field. She has painted public murals, which are on continuous display, and has had several paintings sold at private auction.

Amy continues drawing, sculpting, and painting. Over the years, she has attended various workshops at Brookgreen Gardens and the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County. Currently she paints under the guidance of Patricia Adelman and at her Camden studio and is focused on oil on canvas.

Amy has had several paintings sold at private auction and has public  and private murals on display. This will be her first public gallery show.
