Every rental requires a non-refundable $50 deposit. Balance is payable two weeks prior to the rental date.



The Bassett Building's Wood Auditorium


The Wood Auditorium comfortably seats 284.

This acoustically tuned hall's accommodations include comfortable seating for mature audiences with no restricted view, professional sound and lighting (see a copy of the rental agreement) and additional spaces for receptions. Our "green room" is a perfect place for presenters and performing artists to relax while they wait to take the stage. There are also two, newly built dressing room areas in the Jim & Pat Performing Arts Wing with separate restrooms.

Professional Sound and Lights

The Wood Auditorium is equipped with professional theatre lighting and sound systems that require a Fine Arts Center approved technician to operate during events. Arrangements for the use of theatre lighting and sound systems must be coordinated well in advance and must include the hiring of an FAC approved technician. Both the lighting and sound systems offer a professional, quality environment for your performance or presentation.

Fees for use of either the Wood Auditorium theatre lighting or sound system or both systems:

  1. Equipment use - $25 per hour.
  2. Technician - $25 per hour which includes the time for set-up and design of lighting and sound support as necessary for the users needs.

Douglas Reed House & Grounds


The historic Douglas-Reed House (circa 1812) features a catering kitchen, 50 seat banquet room, additional serving/buffet area, additional entertainment space and attractive grounds with herb and sculpture gardens.

Daily Rental Fee    $550.00
Daily Rental Fee for Arts or Nonprofit    $350.00
Hourly Rental (2 hour minimum)   $100/hr. & $35 custodial fee
Hourly Rental for Arts or Nonprofit (2 hour minimum) $75/hr. & $35 custodial fee

  1. When renting the facility, charges will be incurred from the time the custodian opens the facility until it is vacated.  The renter is in charge of clearing the facility in order for the custodian to secure the building.  If early access to the building is needed for decorating purposes, it must occur during regular business hours or additional charges will be incurred. Rental of the Douglas Reed House includes basic set up and clean up as well as the use of available tables and chairs.  Use of Fine Arts Center staff is NOT part of the rental agreement other than for basic set up and clean up.  Custodial fees are included in flat rate rentals.
  2. The Douglas Reed House can accommodate approximately 50-60 seated guests or 80-100 standing guests.
  3. The Douglas Reed House is a historic site.  NO smoking or dancing is allowed inside.A non-refundable $50.00 security deposit must be paid upon signing of this lease.  The security deposit will hold your date and will be deducted from your balance.
  4. Entire payment must be made 10 days prior to the rental date.  If it becomes necessary to cancel the lease, then both parties must agree to the cancellation.  Lack of payment is grounds for cancellation.
  5. The Douglas-Reed House cannot be leased in the months of February and December.

Daniels Building Music and Dance Studios

Both studios are 900 square feet of studio space for lectures or demonstrations.

RENTAL RATES-MUSIC or DANCE STUDIO (Available 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.)
Hourly Rental (2 hour minimum) $45/hr. & $35 custodial fee
Hourly Rental for Arts or Nonprofit (2 hour minimum) $35/hr. & $35 custodial fee
(No food or beverages are allowed in the studios except for water.)

  1.   2. Rental of the Music or Dance studios includes only basic set up and clean up.  Use of Fine Arts Center staff is NOT part of the rental agreement other than for basic set up and clean up.
  3. The Music Studio is appropriate for small music recitals or meetings of less than 40 people.
  4. The Dance Studio is appropriate for dance rehearsals only.
  5. A non-refundable $50.00 security deposit must be paid upon signing of this lease.  The security deposit will hold your date and will be deducted from your balance.
  6. Entire payment must be made 10 days prior to the rental date.  If it becomes necessary to cancel the lease, then both parties must agree to the cancellation.  Lack of payment is grounds for cancellation.

Hourly Rental (2 hour minimum)  $125/hr. & $35 custodial fee

Hourly Rental for Arts or Nonprofit (2 hour minimum) $100/hr. & $35 custodial fee

  1.   2. Rental of the Bassett Building includes basic set up and clean up as well as the use of available tables and chairs.  Use of Fine Arts Center staff is NOT part of the rental agreement other than for basic set up and clean up.  Custodial fees are included in rental price.
  3. The Wood Auditorium can safely accommodate 284 people.  Occupancy by more than 284 persons is dangerous and unlawful.
  4. No food or drink of any kind is allowed inside the Wood Auditorium.
  5. A non-refundable $50.00 security deposit must be paid upon signing of this lease.  The security deposit will hold your date and will be deducted from your balance. 
  6. Entire payment must be made 10 days prior to the rental date.  If it becomes necessary to cancel the lease, then both parties must agree to the cancellation.  Lack of payment is grounds for cancellation.
