Affiliate Clubs


Affiliate clubs are the backbone of the FAC. With the diversity of offerings, there is something for everyone. Join one of these fine organizations and express yourself today!

The Camden Poets Society (CPS) meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 7 - 9 p.m. for poetry readings and sharing personal creations. The group typically celebrates National Poetry Month in April with Open Mic nights inviting poets and songwriters.

The Quilters of Kershaw County (QKC) meets on the first and second Monday of each month from 9:30 am - 12 noon (except for June-August & December.) Members from across the Midlands meet to discuss patterns, participate in workshops, and work on projects for charities. Contact Linda Hall at 438-1628.

Camden Community Theatre (CCT) produces plays and musicals each year featuring talent from the local community. If you're interested in being on stage or helping out behind the scenes contact Annie Boone at 425-5112 or visit myspace.com/camdencommunitytheatre.

The Camden Community Concert Band (CCCB) offers four free concerts each year-two at Rectory Square Park and two at the Camden High School. They rehearse every Monday from 7 - 9 p.m. at Camden High School. If you play an instrument and would like to join, call Mike Clyburn at 432-8873 or visit camdencommunityband.org/.

The Camden Art Association (CAA) is a group of local artists who meet the first Monday of each month and present two exhibits in the FAC's Bassett Gallery. In addition they produce two sidewalk Sales each year.

The Camden Music Association (CMA) was formed to encourage, support, and promote young artists and foster the knowledge and appreciation of quality music in Kershaw County. The CMA produces annual concerts and competitions. Contact Jean Broom at 432-0553
